I choose to work with traditional film as I feel that this medium still gives more vibrant final prints than digital. I try to use natural light wherever possible and although I do take photographs in colour I have a leaning towards black and white photography, hand developing all films and prints. For portraits I charge for the final prints only. Each hand print is printed on exhibition quality paper with added toning, the charge being £50 per print, minimum order five prints. For weddings I charge a flat rate of £200 for the day with the cost of films, developing and final prints extra but charged at the professional printer’s cost price only. I look to take photographs in an informal approach including the group shots. Alternatively I’m happy to take pictures working along side the main group photographer concentrating in the reportage images. The professional printers I use can be found at www.spectrumphoto.co.uk.
